Our approach
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. In building this website we:
- Checked text and background colors for sufficient contrast
- Made every link, button, menu and form usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline
- Labeled form fields and described images for screen readers
- Respected your device’s reduced-motion setting
- Tested pages at phone, tablet and desktop sizes
Known limitations
- Some content comes from other providers, such as the embedded YouTube video, linked research articles and our patient portal, and may not fully meet these standards.
- Our printable patient handout is a PDF and may not work well with every screen reader. Call us and we will go through it with you or send the information another way.
